As my birthday approaches (it's on Friday), I miss my dad more than I have all year. Even started crying at work today when someone brought up the topic. Time heals all wounds, and all that crap are true, but it doesn't make birthdays seem any easier to get through.

It still hurts sometimes. I don't think it matters how long ago, and that's okay.
Friday is Molly's birthday too!
Yeah, special days and stuff are big triggers. Every day can be a dead dad day.
(My birthday and my dead dad's birthday are also on 13s, but different months.)
Yeah, when 40 came around it was even harder than those in-between birthdays were. It was somehow so WRONG to go through the whole big momentous day without talking to my dad.
